Ex-boyfriend surrenders in slaying of Pa. casino worker

UNIONTOWN, Pa. - Authorities say the ex-boyfriend of a Pennsylvania casino worker found shot to death in her car has turned himself in.

Terry Walker surrendered to troopers at the Uniontown barracks early Friday.

The 45-year-old Uniontown man is charged in the death last Saturday of 36-year-old Mya Ann Grady, a mother of four.

PennDOT snow plow drivers found her shot in the head by along the berm of Route 40 on Summit Mountain.

The highway leads from Uniontown up the mountain to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, where Grady worked at the Lady Luck Casino.

Police announced Wednesday they were searching for Walker.

Walker's lawyer tells CBS Pittsburgh he came voluntarily to face the charges and that his version of events obviously differs from police.

Authorities have said Walker and Grady were involved in a relationship for about seven years and that Grady recently tried to end the relationship.

According to a police affidavit, family members of Grady described her relationship with Walker as turbulent and abusive.

Authorities believe Walker followed her up Route 40 and shot her twice while she was driving, reports the station.

Walker is charged with criminal homicide.
