Duchess Kate cancels another appearance due to pregnancy sickness

The Duchess of Cambridge has been forced to pull out of another planned engagement on Wednesday as she continues to suffer from severe morning sickness in her second pregnancy.

Kate, 32, was due to attend the opening of the Clore Art Room at Barlby Primary School in London, part of The Art Room charity she's been a patron of since 2012.

Kensington Palace said the duchess was "hugely disappointed" at having to bow out of the event, according to the Daily Mail, which also reports Kate sent a personally-penned message expressing her apologies and hopes she'd get to visit the venue in the future.

"I am truly sorry that I cannot be with you all today as you celebrate this milestone," she said, adding, 'My sincere apologies for not being able to join you but I hope that I will have an opportunity to visit Barlby and see the Clore Art Room soon.'

In a statement Wednesday, Kensington Palace said: "The Duchess of Cambridge continues to suffer from the effects of hyperemesis gravidarum and was unable to attend this event today in person. The decision to undertake engagements is being kept under review on a case by case basis."

Kate has not been seen in public since news of her pregnancy was announced last month. She suffered from the same acute morning sickness while pregnant with her and Prince William's now-14-month-old son, Prince George.
