Driver caught with fake Massachusetts license plate

BOSTON - A 20-year-old woman is accused of using a piece of cardboard that she wrote on as a license plate, reports CBS Boston.

A Massachusetts State Trooper noticed something was wrong with the woman's plate after pulling her over on Interstate 391 in Chicopee around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the station.

In a poor attempt to replicate a real Massachusetts license plate, the letters and numbers were crudely drawn with a red marker.

The word "Massachusetts" and the phrase "The Spirit of America" were written in the appropriate places in blue pen.

The 20-year-old woman driving the vehicle was charged with driving with a suspended license and a revoked registration and attaching false plates, according to the station.

Her name was not released.

On their Facebook page, the Massachusetts State police said, "Moral of the story, if you shouldn't be driving, please don't."
