Donald Trump's campaign manager: "Fine with us" if FBI doesn't release emails before election
Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said Monday that it would be “fine” if the FBI doesn’t release all of the emails that officials find from the new review related to Hillary Clinton’s use of private email servers before Election Day.
In an interview on “CBS This Morning,” Conway was asked if she agrees with the Clinton campaign’s request for the FBI to release all of the information before next Tuesday.
“I would agree with the FBI doing what it can, given the fact that these circuitous investigations usually take time,” Conway said. “I don’t think anybody should force their hand. I also think the Clinton campaign is asking the FBI to do something they know the FBI can’t do and that is to rush through the normal channels.”
Conway remarked that 650,000 emails were found on a laptop belonging to Anthony Weiner, which contained emails from his estranged wife Huma Abedin, a top aide to Clinton.
Asked again if it would be okay if the FBI can’t sift through the emails and release them by the election, Conway said, “I mean it would be fine with us. We don’t want to politicize the FBI.”
Trump’s own running mate Mike Pence, however, said throughout the weekend that the FBI should immediately release all emails related to its investigation.

During the interview Monday, Conway called the revelations “explosive” even though no one knows yet what the emails contain, if they were directly related to Clinton or if there was any wrongdoing involved. Investigators only obtained a search warrant to look through the emails on Sunday.
“Sitting on information like that also could have affected the election,” Conway said. “So I think [FBI Director James] Comey was in an impossible spot.”
Conway claimed that the developments haven’t changed Trump’s campaign strategy, saying he only “mentions it at the beginning” of rallies and then talks about Obamacare and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
