Donald Trump sniffles through first presidential debate

Donald Trump was heard sniffling throughout the first general election presidential debate as he faced off with his rival Hillary Clinton at Hofstra University Monday night.

The GOP presidential nominee sniffled through the microphone on stage at times, which stirred reaction on social media and among pundits after the event.

Former presidential candidate and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean weighed in on Twitter on what he thought was causing Trump to sniffle.

His sniffling came after Trump spent a week recently highlighting Clinton’s bout with pneumonia and questioning whether the Democratic presidential nominee was healthy enough to serve as commander in chief.

During the debate, Trump was asked what he meant earlier this month when he said Clinton doesn’t have “the look” to be president. He then appeared to claim that it was really her stamina that he was doubting.
