Deer antlers used in assault on disabled dad, say Pa. cops
MONONGAHELA, Pa. -- A western Pennsylvania man was jailed on charges he used a set of deer antlers to attack his disabled father, CBS Pittsburgh reported.
Twenty-six-year-old Arthur Benoit III, of Monongahela, faces charges including assault and terroristic threats stemming from a Feb. 17 incident at the home he shared with his father, according to the station.
Police say Benoit became angry when his dad wouldn't get out of bed that morning and broke the older man's wheelchair and cellphone. He also allegedly used the antlers, that were mounted on a plaque, to threaten his father, saying, "I'll kill you."
Benoit remained in the Washington County Jail on Friday, unable to post $10,000 bond. He faces a preliminary hearing March 10.
