Dave Chappelle to host “Saturday Night Live” on Nov. 12

Dave Chappelle is returning to television -- for one night, at least.

The reclusive comic and former “Chappelle’s Show” star is set to host “Saturday Night Live” on Nov. 12. And as a bonus, he’ll have A Tribe Called Quest along as his musical guest for the episode.

The gig marks Chappelle’s first time hosting the long-running sketch comedy staple. The day before the episode airs live, A Tribe Called Quest will release its first album in 18 years.

Chappelle -- who famously walked away from a $50 million contract with Comedy Central in 2005 -- has been making more and more public and media appearances over the years, and he appeared in Spike Lee’s 2015 film “Chi-raq.”

Chappelle’s appearance will be the first “SNL” episode following the 2016 presidential election. “Doctor Strange” star Benedict Cumberbatch is hosting this Saturday, with Solange Knowles as musical guest.
