Maine man arrested in infant son's death

LEWISTON, Maine - Maine police say they are charging a 24-year-old Lewiston man in connection with the December death of his infant son.

Police say Danny Adams will likely make his first court appearance Thursday or Friday on a murder charge. They arrested him Wednesday in connection with the death of 3-month-old Zade Adams, who was found unresponsive in his bassinet on Dec. 14. The State Medical Examiner's Office says Zade died of asphyxia.

Police say Danny Adams and 18-year-old Kaitlyn Baker, the baby's mother, lived in an apartment together in Lewiston. They say Danny Adams was taken to a Lewiston hospital for observation Wednesday and will be transferred to a county jail. It was not immediately known if Adams has an attorney.
