1 dead, 1 wounded in shooting outside Texas church
A woman is dead and another person was critically wounded in a shooting at a church parking lot in Cypress, Texas, police said Thursday. The Harris County Sheriff's department tweeted early Friday that they'd caught up with a suspect:
Update murder suspect Arthur Edigin has been located in a hotel at 2424 W Sam Houston Pky. HCSO SWAT and negotiators are on scene. #hcsonews

In a news conference Thursday night, police said they were looking for Edigin, 62, in connection with the shooting. They said he was driving a white 2008 Suburban with a damaged right front quarter panel.
The incident took place at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, according to CBS Houston affiliate KHOU-TV. The station reported that Edigin's estranged wife was killed and his 31-year-old daughter was wounded.
Police also tweeted: "There are no other reports of injuries at this time and the scene at the church is under control."
A reporter with the station posted an image of first responders at the scene.

The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston released a statement saying, "Our prayers are with the victims and families affected by the tragic shooting this evening at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Officials with the Archdiocese and the parish community are cooperating with local authorities in their investigation."
