"Cursed" Florida woman allegedly stabs, kills ex-boyfriend

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- A woman allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend to death because she believed he "put a curse on her," reports CBS Tampa Bay.

Amanda Lopez, 26, told police investigators that she had thought about killing Larry Lee Fryar for over a year, according to the Orlando Sentinel. She allegedly told police that Fryar had "done something to her" and that the only way to free herself from the supposed curse was to kill him.

Fryar called 911 after being stabbed Sunday. As the 57-year-old man lay bleeding, he allegedly told police that Lopez had attacked him.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Lopez was arrested Monday in Orlando trying to catch a bus to New York.

She was charged with first-degree murder and was moved from Orange County to the Osceola County jail without bond on Tuesday.
