Cuba Gooding Jr. cried when he learned he met slain Dallas cop

Cuba Gooding Jr. says he cried when he learned that he had met and taken a photo with one of the slain cops from the Dallas police ambush.

Dallas police officer Patrick Zamarripa had proudly posted a photo of himself posing with his partner and Gooding on Twitter. He wrote, "The great @cubagoodingjr . Thanx for taking the pic with my partner and I. Hope your stay in #Dallas was great sir!" The photo was taken in February.

A TMZ reporter approached Gooding on the street and asked the actor how he felt about his connection to the victim.

"I cried today when I heard that," said Gooding. "I cried. That's all I'll say."
