Crayola apologies for off-color Facebook posts

MoneyWatch: Obama to call for new laws on data privacy; Crayola apologize for FB hack

Crayola is apologizing to customers and fans after a hack to their Facebook page subjected the crayon and marker manufacturer's 2.4 million followers to sexual images and crude jokes Sunday.

The company posted an official apology after regaining control of the account:

"Our sincere apologies to our Facebook community for the inappropriate and offensive posts you may have seen here today. Please be assured the official Crayola page has been restored. We can't thank our fans enough for the feedback and support we received while working to resolve the issue ... you truly are the best and we look forward to an exciting and creative 2015!"

Since then, the page's content has returned to its normal family-friendly standard.
