Country music festival headed to New York City

Live country music is making its way to New York.

A new three-day music festival, dubbed FarmBorough, will touch down at New York's Randalls' Island next summer from June 26-29.

Several stars have already joined the bill, including Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley. It's being billing the event as the first-ever country music festival in NYC.

"Everybody has the big myth that New York City for some reason has not been a supportive country music market, but it's just not true," Brian O'Connell, Live Nation's president for country touring told the New York Times.

The lineup also features Wade Bowen, Kip Moore, Ashley Monroe, Randy Houser, Brandy Clark, Maddie & Tae and The Cadillac Three. More performers will be announced.

Fans can begin buy tickets on Nov. 6. Three-day passes will go for $225.
