Cops: Woman fatally stabbed near Fla. Home Depot

POINCIANA, Fla. -- A woman was fatally stabbed outside a Home Depot in Poinciana, Fla. Friday afternoon, police tell CBS News’ Crimesider.

A male suspect stabbed the woman in the parking lot around 3 p.m. and the woman ran into the Home Depot’s garden center with a knife wound, said Lt. Ryan Berry of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Deputies have taken the suspect into custody, Berry said. He apparently knew the victim.  It’s not clear what type of relationship they had, but Berry said the incident appears isolated.

“We don’t think anybody else is in danger,” Berry said.

The woman’s name isn’t being released pending family notification. The name of the suspect wasn’t immediately available.
