Cops: Remains of missing Colo. teen found, death suspicious

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The remains of a Colorado teen missing since December have been found.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says the remains of 18-year-old Kelly Mae Myers, of Grand Junction, were recovered Saturday in Cactus Park - a recreation area south of Grand Junction on the Uncompahgre Plateau. Investigators say her death is suspicious.

Myers' mother, Kim Lee, told KKCO-TV in January that her daughter had been involved with drugs in the past and that there was a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court when she disappeared.

CBS affiliate KREX reports authorities say more details in the case will be released when the results of a toxicology test are received in the coming weeks.
