Cops: Mother, teen daughter shot dead in Ohio home

SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio -- Law enforcement officials in southern Ohio say a mother and her teen daughter were found shot to death in their home Monday, and they're investigating the case as a double homicide.

The bodies of Candace Newsome, 48, and her daughter Kristina, 16, were discovered by a neighbor around 8:30 Monday morning in the Lucasville home. The neighbor called 911.

The Scioto County Sheriff's Office says there are no suspects in custody.
