Cops: L.A. fatal stabbing suspect arrested in San Francisco

LOS ANGELES - Authorities say a murder suspect wanted in the killing of a 21-year-old Texas man in a Los Angeles motel has been taken into custody in San Francisco, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Oscar Bridges, 54, was arrested Saturday in connection with the fatal stabbing of Robert Brewer on Jan. 23, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Almost a week after a tip had Los Angeles police searching the Hollywood Hills area for the murder suspect, Bridges was apprehended up north in San Francisco.

It’s not clear how the suspect was located.

LA County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said, “Bridges will be transported to Norwalk Sheriff’s Station and booked for murder.”
