Cops: Human legs discovered near Conn. railroad station

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Police are investigating after a pair of human legs were discovered near a New Haven, Conn. railroad station Wednesday morning, reports CBS affiliate WFSB.

An unidentified man reportedly approached an officer about the gruesome discovery and brought him to the area where the legs were found - along a fence in thick foliage near the State Street Railroad station.

Police told the station it's not clear how long the legs had been there.

Police say no other body parts have been found. Investigators are looking into missing persons reports in an attempted to identify the victim.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has also been called in to investigate, reports the station.
