Cops: Ex-student arrested in Calif. college shooting threat

VALLEY GLEN, Calif. – A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody after she allegedly made threats of a shooting at LA Valley College, CBS Los Angeles reports.

The unidentified woman, a former LAVC student, was arrested at her home in Panorama City at 10:40 a.m. Thursday. No additional details were released.

Officials said that an anonymous caller dialed in a tip to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department around 9 a.m., warning of a possible shooter en route to the school.

Classes were canceled and the campus was evacuated as a precaution.

No visible threat was detected at the school.
