Cops: Driver clocked at 112 mph was racing to pay speeding ticket

ROYALTON, Vt. -- A Connecticut man who was allegedly in too much of a hurry to take care of a speeding ticket now finds himself in even more hot water, according to authorities.

According to CBS Boston, Vermont State Police say they pulled over 33-year-old Seth Tichenor, of West Hartford, after he was clocked driving 112 mph in a 65 mph-zone. Officials say Tichenor was also reportedly weaving in and out of traffic on I-89 north Wednesday afternoon.

Tichenor told officers he was on his way to traffic court to address a speeding ticket.

For his latest apparent transgression, he was arrested and charged with excessive speed and negligent operation.
