Awakened by a stranger, in bed

CLINTON, Conn. - A Clinton, Conn. man called police early Saturday when he woke up to find a man he didn't know laying next to him in bed, reports CBS Connecticut.

The man called police and told them he heard the front door to his home open but thought it was his wife who had come upstairs and climbed into bed. When he rolled over, he realized it wasn't. The man says he told the intruder - later identified as 26-year-old Tyler Sullivan of Higganum - to leave, but he wouldn't.

Sullivan, who was highly intoxicated, is charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, reports the station.

Sullivan reportedly told investigators he could not remember what happened and thought he was at his mother's apartment, which is in the same complex.

Sullivan was released on bond and is due in Middletown Superior Court on November 4.
