Cole J. Pollard, 22, was found Wednesday morning area following a search prompted by the discovery of his vehicle there the night before near the remote lake, about 70 miles south of where 22-year-old Patricia Richmond was found dead on Monday.

The Routt County Sheriff's Office previously named Pollard as a person of interest in Richmond's slaying. After his capture, Sheriff Garrett Wiggins told Steamboat Today that Pollard was arrested on a burglary charge for allegedly stealing items, including guns, from the home where Richmond was found dead.

He says the district attorney's office will determine what other charges he will face.

Richmond's body was found tied up and face down in the home of her fiance's parents, Amy and Russell West, on Monday near the community of Clark north of Steamboat Springs. Sheriff Garrett Wiggins says Pollard is a distant cousin of Richmond's fiance.

Deputies had considered Pollard suicidal but he was found alive, reports CBS Denver.
