CHESHIRE, Conn. - Steven Hayes, a man convicted in a 2007 deadly Connecticut home invasion, was found "unresponsive" in his cell Monday morning, reports CBS affiliate WFSB.

Hayes, 50, is one of two men imprisoned for the 2007 Cheshire home invasion in which Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her two daughters, 17-year-old Hayley and 11-year-old Michaela, were murdered.

According to the station, Hayes was found alone in his cell at the Northern Correctional Institution around 9:30 a.m. Department of Correction officials said he was unresponsive.

Hayes received treatment by medical personal staff and is in stable condition, DOC officials said.
