Take a closer look at "Rogue One" with this Star Wars Celebration reel

December doesn't seem so far, far away.

Fans eager for more details about "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" got quite a treat thanks to a video released by Lucasfilm for the Star Wars Celebration Europe event taking place in London.

Reports out of the three-day fan convention suggested fans in attendance had been treated to the second official trailer for the "Star Wars" standalone film -- featuring the first glimpse of Darth Vader -- but that clip had yet to turn up online.

In the meantime, fans not able to make it to London get to enjoy this extended look behind the scenes, featuring director Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and more in action.

As a bonus, the clip also revealed the look of the alien character played by "Stars Wars" veteran Warwick Davis, who made his film debut in "Return of the Jedi." Keep your eyes peeled for a shot of Edwards directing him as he fires a large artillery gun out of a flying transport.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" hits theaters December 16, 2016.
