Cleveland police officer's 2-year-old son dies after shooting himself
TREMONT, Ohio -- A Cleveland police officer’s 2-year-old son died after accidentally shooting himself on Friday morning, CBS Cleveland affiliate WOIO reports.
The boy, Dominique, shot himself with his dad’s service weapon, police said.
The name of the father has not been released. He is a 54-year-old police officer.
The fatal incident occurred at 10:20 a.m and Dominique was rushed into surgery at MetroHealth Hospital, in Cleveland. He died due to his injuries.
Police were on the scene on Friday morning.
