Cleveland news crew robbed at gunpoint

CLEVELAND — A reporter and photographer working for CBS affiliate WOIO in Cleveland were robbed at gunpoint Thursday, the station reports. No one was injured in the incident.

The crew, which was out reporting on an unrelated story, said they were robbed by a trio that appeared to be juveniles.

Their cellphones and cash were taken.

Police have not identified the suspects.

It's not the first time a news crew has been robbed. In San Francisco in 2015, a news reporter was robbed live on air while covering a murder. Another reporter covering the same murder was also robbed, apparently by the same person.

In the same city two years earlier, two suspects were arrested in connection with a string of brazen robberies of news crews.
