Chris Soules is the new star of "The Bachelor"

It's official: Chris Soules will be the one handing out roses on the next season of "The Bachelor."

The 32-year-old farmer from Iowa won over audience's hearts when he competed for Andi Dorfman's affections on "The Bachelorette" earlier this year.

He was revealed to be Dorfman's "secret admirer" during the show and made it to the final three before she said she didn't see a future with him and sent him packing before the final rose ceremony.

On "Good Morning America" Wednesday, Soules said he "absolutely" believes he can find love again on TV.

"That's why I'm doing it," he said. "I believe in the process. I believe in what I went through on the previous show and that's why I'm doing it."

"Coming from a small town, I'd never really expected to have this opportunity to be on either show, let alone be the lead on 'The Bachelor,' so it's been awesome," he added. "I'm humbled, flattered, grateful."

"The Bachelor" returns to ABC in January 2015.
