Chris Harrison of "The Bachelor" to host Miss America

Chris Harrison of ABC's "The Bachelor" is this year's host of the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City.

It's the seventh time he has handled the duties. His co-host will be announced in the coming weeks.

Harrison will be joined at Boardwalk Hall on Sept. 13 by celebrity judges Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Kevin O'Leary, Amy Purdy and Zendaya.

The pageant started in Atlantic City and returned in 2013 after eight years in Las Vegas.

Last year's winner was Miss New York Kira Kazantsev, who took some flak for performing Pharrell Williams' "Happy" while tapping a red plastic cup on the floor as her talent.
