Channing Tatum: Wife approves my "Magic Mike" stripper moves

Jenna Dewan-Tatum started her career as a dancer, so it's no surprise that she has a thing or two to say about her husband Channing Tatum's dance moves.

Tatum is in the midst of filming the sequel to "Magic Mike" in Savannah, Georgia, and told People about how he approaches those sexy stripper dance moves: "Our two choreographers on the movie, they're really, really good friends [with Jenna]. So I work it out with them and then I go show Jenna for approval."

Prior to acting, Dewan-Tatum served as a backup dancer for the likes of Janet Jackson, *NSYNC, Toni Braxton, Pink, Missy Elliott, Ricky Martin, and others. Tatum, meanwhile, was inspired to make the original "Magic Mike" based on his own past stripper experiences.

Tatum, 34, also talked to People about what it's like for them to see each other do on-screen love scenes.

"She actually loves Magic Mike, believe it or not," Tatum said about his 33-year-old wife. "It's an interesting thing that actors have to deal with. We're 10 years into it now, so it's kind of old hat -- we've moved past it."

The couple met on the set of "Step Up" in 2006. They welcomed their daughter, Everly, last year.

"Magic Mike XXL," which hits theaters July 1, 2015, will also star Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer and Gabriel Iglesias. Other cast members include Michael Strahan, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Amber Heard, Andie MacDowell and Jada Pinkett Smith.
