"Can't Stop Won't Stop Bandits" stopped by San Jose cops

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Two San Jose, Calif. men, dubbed the "Can't Stop Won't Stop" bandits for the frequent robberies they are implicated in, were arrested Feb. 28, reports CBS SF Bay Area.

The men are accused in a rash of armed robberies at liquor stores and markets in San Jose occurring over two months between Dec. 28, 2013 and Feb. 28, 2014.

One of the suspects would usually enter the store and point a gun at the cashier and demand cash. In some instances, the suspect made the cashier get on the ground or move around the store, police said.

After each robbery, the suspect would run away and get into a vehicle where the other suspect was waiting. The suspects would hold up multiple stores in one night, police said, according to the station.

In recent weeks, the suspects started to shoot the gun during the robberies, according to police.

The suspects were identified as Jesus Escobar, 25, and Angel Rodriguez-Leon, 22, according to police. They were arrested Feb. 28 as they tried to flee a robbery, reports the station, and were into Santa Clara County Jail.

Police determined a gun used in many of the robberies had previously been stolen during a home burglary, according to the station.

The pair was arraigned in Santa Clara County Superior Court on Wednesday on various charges, including robbery charges, firearm violations, and gang enhancements, according to Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office spokesman Sean Webby.
