Sarah Palin, Donald Trump to speak at the same conference Friday

Former Republican vice presidential nominee and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will speak at the same event as presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump Friday.

The pair of GOP pols will speak during the same morning session at the Western Conservative Summit in in Denver. The event bills itself as the largest annual gathering of conservative activists outside of Washington, D.C.

Palin, who resigned as Alaska's governor in 2009, served as the vice presidential candidate for 2008 GOP nominee John McCain.

A recent poll from Monmouth University found that of a dozen names tested, Palin was the most polarizing: 42 percent of registered U.S. voters said they'd be less likely to vote for Trump if she joined the GOP ticket. By comparison, only 13 percent said picking Palin would make them more likely to vote for Trump.

Also speaking Friday are Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse, who has been critical of Trump, as well as radio commentator Hugh Hewitt and Tea Party leader Jenny Beth Martin.
