Calvin Harris praises his "girl" Taylor Swift for Apple letter

Taylor Swift received a big thumbs up from her beau Calvin Harris on Monday for standing up against Apple.

After Swift wrote an open letter to Apple criticizing its free three-month trial offer for Apple Music, the company decided to pay royalties to artists and record labels for music played during that time-frame.

Harris, for one, is proud of the pop star:

"I am on my fifth album and can support myself, my band, crew, and entire management team by playing live shows," Swift wrote in her letter.

"This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success. This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thought the royalties would get them out of debt."

Things between Harris and Swift appear to be picking up lately. They embraced last month at the Billboard Music Awards, and Swift has been posting photos of Harris on Instagram.
