Calvin Harris breaks his silence following car accident and show cancelations

It took nearly a week, but Calvin Harris finally broke his silence following a collision that left him hospitalized.

Last Friday, the famous DJ and producer was on his way to the airport when he was involved in the crash, and on Thursday his reps wrote on Facebook that Harris -- whose real name is Adam Wiles -- was "still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident." As a result, Harris canceled appearances in Las Vegas for Thursday and Friday nights.

But on Friday, the man himself finally spoke up, responding to the outpouring of support he'd received from fans with a pair of tweets. "Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations," Harris wrote on Twitter. "I'm feeling lucky and very grateful rn."
