Call of Duty: Police searching for "serial pooper"

AKRON, Ohio -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly defecated on cars in Akron, Ohio, as many as 20 times in the last two and a half years, reports CBS affiliate WOIO.

Police say the suspect relieves himself on the hoods of vehicles, or if a car's door is unlocked, inside the vehicle itself. He has also allegedly smeared fecal matter on the door handles.

The most recent incident was Tuesday morning.

Mildred Crisp told the station she and her great grandson were the victims, and she immediately determined that the culprit was a person.

"Human poop, you can tell, and stink, oh my God. It was terrible," Crisp said. "Clean off the human mess off the car. Took a bucket of water, clean it all off. Now that's a shame."

"To have somebody do that -- and twice that happened. I hope he gets arrested and put away. He should," said Crisp.

The Akron Police Department released an image captured by a neighbor that shows the suspect, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark winter hat, with his pants down to his ankles, squatting over the hood of a car.

Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards said police hope the image will help flush out the suspect.

"It's important for us to find out who this is and either get them the help they need, or get them incarcerated," Edwards said.

If caught, police say the man could be charged with criminal mischief.
