Police: Teens plotted attack on California high school

TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Calif. -- Four teens in California have been arrested for allegedly plotting an attack at their high school, CBS Sacramento station KOVR-TV reports.

On Wednesday, Tuolumne County sheriff's deputies were contacted by administrators at Summerville High School, in the Northern California town of Tuolumne, the sheriff's department said in a statement Saturday.

The administrators told police that three students were making threats against faculty members and students.

Through the course of their investigation, detectives identified a fourth suspect.

The investigation found the plot was in its early stages and that no students or faculty members were hurt.

Detectives arrested the four students on charges of conspiracy to commit assault with deadly weapons.

The names of the suspects, who are all juveniles, have not been released.
