Calif. barber wanted for allegedly stabbing customer

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - An Orange County, Calif. barber is wanted for attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a man several times instead of giving him a haircut, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Jeff Valenz went to the Garden Grove home of 23-year-old Adrian Gomez for a haircut Tuesday afternoon, but police say Gomez stabbed him three times in the neck and once in the left elbow.

The victim, who knew Gomez, said he was "suddenly stabbed by Valenz for no apparent reason."

Gomez then fled, reports the station.

Valenz called police as he attempted to drive himself to a local hospital. He was later transported to UCI Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Gomez is described as a Hispanic man, 6-foot-1, and about 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is considered armed and dangerous.
