Monday marks the 65th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne after the death of her father, King George VI.

Tuesday sees the unveiling of this year’s Times Square Valentine Heart, a tribute to the contributions of immigrants called, “We Were Strangers Once, Too”

        
Wednesday is National Boy Scout Day, saluting the more than 114 million young Americans who have been part of the Scouts since its founding in 1910.

       
On Thursday, singer-songwriter Carole King celebrates her 75th birthday.
