Caitlyn Jenner wants to be Ted Cruz's "trans ambassador"

Caitlyn Jenner has picked her horse in the 2016 GOP primary race, and it's Ted Cruz.

While other conservative celebrities have been busy endorsing or condemning Donald Trump, the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star is putting her focus on the Texas senator. Jenner told the Advocate that she met Cruz more than a year ago -- prior to her transition -- and that "he was very nice."

In fact, Jenner said she'd like to play a role in Cruz's administration should he get elected. "Wouldn't it be great -- let's say he goes on to be president, and I have all my girls on a trans issues board to advise him on making decisions when it comes to trans issues. Isn't that a good idea?" Jenner said. "Trans ambassador to the president of the United States, so we can say, 'Ted, love what you're doing but here's what's going on.'"
