Bus overturns in southern Indiana

CLARK COUNTY, Ind. -- More than a dozen people have been injured after a bus overturned on Interstate 65 in southern Indiana, CBS affiliate WLKY-TV in Louisville, Kentucky, reports.

The bus overturned off the side of the road near the 22-mile marker on I-65.

All 19 people aboard the bus were taken to area hospitals.

The bus was carrying 16 students from Indiana Tech men's and women's bowling teams, a coach, the coach's wife and a driver.

The university, which is in Fort Wayne, said the teams were on their way to a competition in Smyrna, Tennessee.

The interstate is shut down in that area, and a long delay is expected for motorists.

More than a half-dozen ambulances and several air ambulances were at the scene transporting patients to area hospitals.

The bus is from Excursions Trailways. A representative from the company said they were gathering information.

There's no word on the extent of the injuries.
