Brooks Wheelan says he's "fired" from "Saturday Night Live"
Brooks Wheelan won't be returning to "Saturday Night Live."
The 27-year-old newcomer, who joined the "SNL" team last September, won't be back for the upcoming 40th season.
He broke the news on Twitter:
Had a blast and loved every second of it. I'm totally honored to be able to make this next joke... FIRED FROM NEW YORK IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!

"SNL" has yet to confirm Wheelan's supposed ousting.
