"Broad City" stars visit "Late Show" as colonial women

"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert said that as excited as he was to witness Hillary Clinton's historic nomination as the first female presidential candidate of a major party, there was one element that was missing.

"I just wish that the women who helped build his country could be here to see it," said Colbert on the "Late Show."

Would a Hillary Clinton presidency have impact on women in America?

Colbert had his wish granted -- sort of -- when "Broad City" stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer appeared onscreen in colonial togs as fictional delegates Josephine Henley and Abitha Whitmore, who spoke to the "Late Show" host from Philadelphia, 1776.

The women are thrilled to hear that there is finally a female president in '16 ... until they find out which '16 that is and that she's still just a nominee at this point.

See how Josephine and Abitha react below.
