Brad Pitt leads the troops in new "Fury" trailer

Brad Pitt is in the trenches in his latest film, "Fury."

The trailer for the new World War II-era drama made its debut this week, complete with plenty of explosions.

Drawing a link to his role in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," Pitt stars in "Fury" as Wardaddy -- the American commander of an army brigade sent behind enemy lines to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" actor Logan Lerman plays a young and naive soldier, while "Nymphomaniac" star Shia LaBeouf steps into the role of one of the more hardened members of Pitt's team.

The film was written and directed by David Ayer, a filmmaker who previously directed Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Sabotage" and Jake Gyllenhaal in "End of Watch." Ayer also wrote the screenplays for "Training Day" and "The Fast and the Furious."

Gyllenhaal's "Watch" co-star Michael Pena also appears in "Fury," along with Jon Bernthal and Scott Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood.

"Fury" lands in theaters on Nov. 14.
