Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sell New Orleans home

Divorcing couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have liquidated a very important shared asset.

The “By the Sea” stars have sold the home they owned in the French Quarter of New Orleans, according to the Hollywood Reporter

The report points to documents filed with the Orleans Parish Civil Clerk of Court’s office’s Land Records Division that indicate a sale of $4.9 million for the property.

“It sold for a very fair price. It’s a good deal for both parties,” listing agent Nina Killeen said. “They’re happy with the outcome.”

Killeen confirmed that the sale closed Friday.

Pitt and Jolie purchased the property in 2007 for $3.5 million after Pitt established his Make It Right Foundation to build affordable and eco-friendly housing in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward following Hurricane Katrina.

According to a real estate listing, the three-story, 7,645-square-foot mansion was built in the 1830s and has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half-baths.
