Boston straphangers flee as smoke fills train, station
BOSTON -- A Boston subway motor overheated, causing panicked straphangers to flee the Back Bay station during rush hour Wednesday.
Several people were injured and at least three were taken to the hospital, CBS Boston reports.
There are significant delays on the Orange Line due to a disabled train at Back Bay station.

The MBTA says an overhead motor overheated, filling the station with smoke.
A witness told CBS Boston that she felt the train jerk, and then saw sparks. She says she broke a window on the train after the car she was in began filling with smoke.
Orange Line service is suspended between Jackson Square and Haymarket. The MBTA says riders should use the Green Line for downtown service.
No injuries have been reported.
