Boston high school employee charged with shooting teen

BOSTON - A staff member at a high school in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston has been fired for allegedly trying to kill a teenager, reports CBS Boston.

Shaun Harrison, 55, was expected to be arraigned on charges of armed assault with intent to murder in connection with the Tuesday night shooting of a 17-year-old male in Roxbury, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley's office.

A LinkedIn page for "Rev. Shaun Harrison" identifies him as dean of students at English High School.

According to CBS Boston, a spokeswoman for city schools said Harrison was the "Dean of Academy" there, where he functioned as a family outreach coordinator.

Police said the teenage victim was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Harrison was arrested Wednesday, CBS Boston reported.
