Body ID'd as woman who went missing after son's death

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A body found in the search for a Colorado Springs woman who disappeared after the death of her son, an Air Force Academy cadet, has been identified as that of the missing woman.

The search for Ksenia Quiros was called off after the discovery of a woman's body in a ravine on Saturday. Authorities received a positive identification from the coroner on Monday.

"The manner and cause of death are still unknown at this time," police said in a statement.

Quiros' son, Alexandre Quiros, a senior cadet at the Air Force Academy, died in his dorm room on April 2. His cause of death hasn't been released, but academy officials say they don't suspect foul play.

Ksenia Quiros was reported missing Wednesday, just under two weeks after her son's death. Her truck was later found near an open space that was the focus of the search for her.
