Bobbi Kristina Brown remains in coma

Bobbi Kristina Brown to stay on ventilator

Bobbi Kristina Brown remains in a medically induced coma at an Atlanta hospital after doctors reportedly tried taking her off various medications.

A source close to the 21 year-old's family said doctors were forced to put her back on the drugs because she began suffering seizures, CNN reports.

Her father, Bobby Brown, is "beside himself" following this latest development, a family source told People magazine.

"This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she'd turned the corner. We were so optimistic," the source added. "Bobby is taking this so hard; he was sure this was going to be a good day."

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been hospitalized since being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Roswell, Georgia, last month.

Last week, an Associated Press source said doctors replaced her breathing tube with a tube usually used for patients who need to be on a ventilator for an extended period.

Brown's partner, Nick Gordon, who is reportedly at odds with Bobby Brown over hospital visitation, has been sending a flurry of tweets recently about Brown and her family and says she would want him to.
