Bill de Blasio to appear on "The Good Wife"

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has only been in office for about two months -- but he's not wasting any time getting in front of the camera.

He's expected to make a guest appearance as himself on the March 16 episode of "The Good Wife" on CBS.

De Blasio, who met the cast earlier this week, said he and his wife Chirlane McCray are "deeply obsessed" with the political drama.

Dubbed "A Few Words," the episode will follow Julianna Margulies' Alicia Florrick character as she's asked to be the keynote speaker at the American Bar Association conference in Manhattan. That same episode will find Jill Hennessey guest-starring as power lawyer Rayna Hecht and Eric Bogosian returning as Nelson Dubeck.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg appeared as a guest star on "The Good Wife" last year.
