Beyonce opens up about weight loss: "I have struggled since a young age with diets"

Beyonce appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday with a big announcement. But it didn't have to do with music or a tour. It had to do with her diet.

"I'm not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves," Beyonce said. "I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works and keeps the weight off has been difficult for me."

In the segment, Beyonce opened up about subscribing to a program designed by celebrity trainer and nutritionist Marco Borges, which focuses on plant-based foods. The plan? To go vegan in just three weeks.

Part of the diet involves focusing on carbohydrates over protein and fat, working out 30 minutes a day and remembering to drink a lot of water.

"I felt like my skin was really firm, a lot tighter than when I deprived myself of food and got the weight off fast -- and the weight stayed off," Beyonce, 33, said.
