Ben Affleck as Batman: New photo unveiled at Comic-Con

It's a big week for superhero fans -- Comic-Con kicked off in San Diego, and Wednesday was Batman's 75th anniversary.

To mark the Caped Crusader's milestone birthday, a new photo of his latest incarnation -- as played by Ben Affleck in the upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" -- was unveiled at the annual fan convention.

The brooding, side-profile image was also released via social media, so those not attending Comic-Con were still able to get a glimpse.

"Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder also had a bit of fun with the other hero from his film, sharing a Twitter photo hinting (jokingly, of course) at a "Man of Steel"-"Star Wars" crossover.

Comic-Con continues through Sunday. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
